The data is in. Workplace stress is on the rise and Gen Z are taking the brunt of it, with some reports suggesting 90% + of the Gen Z workforce experience burnout.
As usual, these reports and (this topic) have lead to people calling Gen Z “snowflakes” and other things of the sort. But generational differences aside, there is a real issue here…
People entering the workforce are struggling. They are feeling stressed, overworked and burnt out. That’s a big problem.
A problem that we (collectively) need to solve.
That means being open to change, allowing for flexible working conditions and looking for other ways to reduce stress for the next generation of workers.
Best Boss In Britain
For episode 3 of Best Bosses in Britain, I went out to meet Dan, the Founder and Managing director of Triquetra Construction, based in London.
We received 100s of nominations for Best Bosses in Britain, but when we saw some of the stuff that Dan has done for his team, we were absolutely blown away. And I don’t say this lightly when I say I think he may be one of the best bosses I’ve come across in a long time.
If you’re interested in watching the episode (and hearing more about Dan) you’ll find it live on all of my social channels now. And if you’re interested in finding out more about the work that Dan and the team at Triquetra Construction do, then head over to their website, or give them a follow on social media (both linked below)

Is fear holding your company back?
One of the biggest problems a company can face is a team who are afraid to disagree with the boss.
Like it or not, no one has all of the answers. And no one is right 100% of the time. This is why it’s important to have a team that feels both comfortable and confident in challenging ideas and instructions being given to them.
Disagreement isn’t a sign of disrespect.
It’s a sign of a healthy business.
